EPFL architecture students bring La Buvette d'Evian back to life
Around 150 first-year EPFL architecture students will soon be crossing Lake Geneva into France to install new forms of architecture and gardens around the Buvette d'Evian. They have already tested their new architectural designs on the Swiss side of the lake. The revamped site will be inaugurated at a ceremony on 28 May, which will be attended by Evian city officials.
A day spent discussing teaching practices
EPFL held a special Education Day last Friday, 17 May, as part of events commemorating its 50th anniversary. The day included a ceremony to announce the winners of the LEARN Awards – prizes given out by EPFL to recognize innovative high-school teaching initiatives.
