The transport sector is of a deeply transversal nature, and therefore gathers actors from a broad range of disciplines. In addition to developing a high-level multidisciplinary research in order to bring added-value solutions to societal problems, the Transporation innovation team aims to strengthen the visibility of transport research at EPFL and to exploit existing and new synergies by bringing together expertise from several laboratories.
We are the main point of contact for forming partnerships and consortia to participate in EU-funded research programmes and other funding mechanisms.
UrbanTwin: seeing double for sustainability
A consortium of Swiss research institutes, led by EPFL, has begun working on UrbanTwin to make an artificial intelligence driven and ecologically sensitive model of the energy, water and waste systems of the town of Aigle. The aim: to help boost sustainability.
The Transportation team is part of the EPFL Vice Presidency for Innovation (VPI). Do not hesitate to contact us!
