  • Offer a technical support to SV School laboratories and units
  • Ensure the good working conditions and lasting quality of the scientific equipment of the School of Life Sciences
  • Design and create items, adaptations or special equipment destined to research projects
  • Ensure an emergency stand-by service

Activities

In order to achieve the above-mentioned missions, the workshop personnel is in charge of the maintenances and controls of scientific equipment used in the SV School. Our technicians manage the interventions and when necessary are in contact with external specialists for any specific repairs or interventions on devices under warranty. Moreover our service keeps an inventory of all common equipment available in the School.

Our specialists remain available for the design, conception and realization of prototypes or mechanical adaptations of equipment linked to experimental requirement. Upon request form users, special mechanical items or accessories can be produced.

Moreover, the workshop has implemented a technical emergency stand-by service 24h/24h to supervise sensitive and cryogenics common equipment.

Our technicians are also available to adjust laboratory furniture and manage storage spaces in our buildings (archives, equipment storage, laboratory furniture, etc).

The workshop personnel can also be contacted for any advice on the acquisition of new equipment.


IMPORTANT: Services of the SV Workshop are strictly reserved to the units of the School of Life Sciences and limited to all mobile equipment. Any interventions on the buildings or their infrastructures are to be requested and performed by the School Central Services.
