An emergency standby service is available for certain equipment connected to the alarm system. There is a centralized alarm system for unit-specific refrigerators and freezers, which is run by the DII. When the system detects too much temperature variation on the connected equipment, an SMS is sent to the cell phone of the contact persons in the laboratory. In case of questions on the alarm system, please contact the Workshop. More information is available in our “Emergency Picket Service” section.
The list of equipment for which the workshop provides preventive maintenance can be found in our “Preventive Maintenance” section.
Price of maintenance may vary depending on the age of the device, its warranty and the possible parts to be replaced. Please contact the Workshop for more information.
The “Mechanical constructions” section contains information about mechanical constructions and specific work that can be executed on equipment. In case of need, do not hesitate to contact the SV Workshop or directly the mechanic technician, Mr. Samuel Gex.
Lead time will depend on the type of construction, its complexity, the volume of requests and whether it can be done in-house or needs to be sent to the STI School workshops. The SV Workshop staff or Mr. Samuel Gex will be able to answer more precisely once all the information is known.
