Three-day pilgrimage on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela

From Saturday, May 18 to Monday, May 20, 2024

Discover 3 stages in the Fribourg and Berne region, including the majestic ruins of the Rueggisberg convent!

Reputed to be one of the most beautiful on the Via Jacobi, the section follows the Bernese and Fribourg Pre-Alps, offering sumptuous undulating green landscapes, mainly forests and meadows dotted with large traditional wooden farmhouses.

Every day, the walk is punctuated by stops to discuss various themes linked to the Way of St. James, from the spiritual to the historical, geographical and practical. The pace of the walk is adapted to each individual, encouraging introspection, contemplation and exchange with fellow walkers.

The walk will be guided and led by Béatrice Béguin, an ESA hiking guide specializing in cultural itineraries. Having walked the entire route (!), she is currently president of the Amis du chemin de St-Jacques Suisse association.
