The ability to balance sustainability, people and resilient value chains is quickly becoming the defining differentiator for Operations professionals the world over. We call this Industry 5.0And we want you to shape it.

Profound change currents are reshaping supply chains on a global scale. Those who wish to stay ahead of this change need to move from supply chain management to value chain management thinking. Move beyond simply managing operations to realizing growth, innovation and sustainability goals towards Industry 5.0.

Our executive certificate is for those who want to drive change responsibly within the value chain. It focuses on end-to-end value creation, from procurement/sourcing to remanufacture, refurbishing and recycling.

Participant Profile

This program is for professionals with minimum 5 years who want to understand and transform the value chain and bring sustainable solutions to the decision-making table by leveraging Industry 5.0 opportunities.


The modules consist each of 3 full class days (Thursday, Friday, Saturday), in person at the EPFL campus, along with remote and blended learning. Total required time investment is approximatively 350 hours. It is designed to enable you to continue your work and study at the same time.

A Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) is granted by EPFL upon successful completion of all modules.

Tuition Fee

The fee for the CAS (5 modules) is 9’800 CHF

The fee for a single module is 3’200 CHF.

A Bachelor’s degree, fluency in English and a minimum of 5 years work experience.

5 Modules 9’800 CHF

1 single module 3’200 CHF.
Application priority is given to full CAS, single modules are subject to availability.

All 5 modules must be successfully completed in order to obtain the CAS

  • Each module consists of 4 x 3 days of live classes (every 3rd week-end on Thu, Fri & Sat and 6 webinars), over a period of 3 months
  • These are consecutive Thursday, Friday and Saturday
  • Class days start at 9h15 and finish at 17h15

Each module includes remote and blended learning

A Bachelor’s degree, fluency in English and a minimum of 5 years work experience

Applications are taken on a rolling basis; it is advisable to apply at least 30 days prior to the start of the module.

The CAS starts on March 30th, 2023.

However, pre-work will be expected to be done in the week preceding the start of the CAS. Readings will be available on our online platform 2 weeks before the start of the CAS.
