Lecturers’ timetable

Course timetable

The autumn course timetable is prepared from mid-April until mi-June and the spring course timetable from mid-October until mid-December.

The teachers have to communicate their desiderata to the programs no later than the end of March for the autumn semester, and the end of September for the spring semester. The programs inform the [email protected] office via the fichier des charges, so that these desiderata can be taken into account when possible.

Once the draft timetable has been drawn up, teachers are notified by email to consult their schedule in their teaching portal on IS-Academia. They can ask for changes within ten days.

Beyond this deadline, due to the timetable’s complexity, only changes due to unavoidable circumstances can be considered.

Once the final timetable is ready, it is published publicly on IS-Academia and in the students portal.

Exam timetable

The timetable for tests that take place during the semester is organized by the teacher in charge of the subject (e.g., written or oral exams, individual or group work, semester projects).

For exams conducted during an examination session (winter and summer), teachers in charge of subjects examined during the session must be present. They must keep the three weeks of the exam session free until they have received their exam timetable.

The examination timetable is prepared in October for the winter session, and in March for the summer session. The teachers have to communicate their desiderata to [email protected] no later than the end of September for the winter exams, and the end of February for the summer exams. These desiderata will be taken into account where possible.

Once the draft timetable has been drawn up, lecturers are notified by e-mail to consult their schedule in their teaching portal on IS-Academia. For oral exams only, they have a time limit of 10 days to make changes. Written exams cannot be amended!

Beyond this deadline, and due to the timetable’s complexity, only changes due to unavoidable circumstances can be considered.

Once the final timetable has been notified to the students, no additional changes are possible. If an important change is necessary, then the teacher should check with [email protected] whether it is feasible and, if so, the whole class must approve the change by signing an acceptance document. The lecturer is responsible for securing these approvals.
