CNP retreat 2020, February 11-12

The Center for Neuroprosthetics held its 2020 retreat in Grand Hôtel des Bains, Lavey-les-Bains, on February 11-12. The event gathered more than 130 PhD students, postdocs, engineers, scientists and professors; all CNP members got a chance to interact, meet the new CNP Faculty members (Mahsa Shoaran, Mackenzie Mathis and Alexander Mathis), as well as Bernard Schneider, who recently established the Bertarelli Foundation Gene Therapy Core Facility at CNP.
The program included four plenary talks, one presentation of the NeuroRestore initiative, eigh “fresh-from-the-lab” talks, and three workshops.
The program comprised three workshop on dedicated subjects, to foster interactions between the Faculty members and CNP members on topics of interest to the whole community:
- Mentoring for an academic career
- Statistical testing in the era of big data
- Neuroethics
Two poster awards were given at the occasion of the CNP retreat:
