Anil Tuncel is a Scientific Software Developer in the Cells team in the Simulation Neuroscience Division.

His work focuses on single-cell and circuit simulations.

Before joining the Blue Brain Project, he was employed at ETH Zurich to work on the Roche Tumour Profiler Project. He designed data analysis pipelines and statistical methods to provide personalised treatments for cancer patients.

He received his Master’s degree in Data Science and Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Milan. He graduated from two Bachelor’s programmes at Atılım University, with degrees in Software Engineering and Computer Engineering as valedictorian.

He volunteers as a Contributing Member at the Python Software Foundation, where his contributions relate to the creation or maintenance of open-source software available to the public.
