|Claudia Savoia is a Project Manager in the Operations Division
In her role, she support the Blue Brain scientists and engineers by managing and coordinating multiple Blue Brain projects.
Before joining, Claudia was the R&D Specialist and Project Manager in the Cell Metabolism department at the Nestlé Institute of Health Science based at the EPFL Innovation Park. Prior to that, she was a Post Doctoral researcher at Centre Medical Universitaire (Geneva) and at the University of Padua (Italy) focusing on mitochondrial dynamics studies in neuronal metabolism and neurodegenerative diseases.
Claudia has a PhD in Neuroscience and a Master’s degree in Medical Biotechnology from University of Study of Naples ‘Federico II’.
In 2012, she was awarded an EMBO fellowship and since moving into project management, she has gained the PMP – Project Management Professional certificate and Agile Project Management Foundation certificate.
Outside of work, Claudia is a keen cook and baker. She enjoys travelling with her family and reading science articles and books.
