Career perspectives

All Ph.D. students need to leave SPC-EPFL for at least a couple of years after completion of their thesis. In general, SPC students are highly appreciated for their broad range of knowledge, scientific quality and professionalism, and pursue successful careers nationally and internationally (both outside and within the fusion programme) after leaving the SPC. Examples of institutions where SPC graduates are now active include the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, the MIT, the Max Planck IPP-Garching, CEA Cadarache, JET, the University of California, Columbia University, and General Atomics.
