Bernoulli Instructors

Bernoulli Instructorships are prestigious postdoctoral research positions, awarded in all areas of mathematics, and hosted within the Institute of Mathematics at EPFL.

They offer complete research autonomy and also provide travel support, for a period up to four years, allowing Bernoulli Instructors to launch their independent research career.

Bernoulli Instructors contribute to research, teaching, and mentoring, with a light teaching load during the first two years.

Any vacancies, and instructions on applying, can be found here.

The list of current Bernoulli Instructors can be found here.

The Instructorship’s name celebrates the legacy and manifold contributions of the famous Bernoulli family of mathematicians. It is intentionally not accompanied by a first name, in order to encompass the full breadth and diversity of topics the Bernoullis contributed to.
