The role of the Internal Control and Risk Management Department (CIGR) is to manage, adapt and optimize EPFL’s insurance coverage.
CIGR provides valuable advice to the School’s staff in the event of a need for specific coverage. He is available to help them in:

  • Analysis and evaluation of files and needs.
  • Follow-up of the steps involved in the processing of claims.
  • Requests for insurance certificates.


The School is insured at the civil liability and property insurance level (building and content).
