During the first semester, the completion of a laboratory project is required. Its objective is to provide a first immersion in a research laboratory.
The project is carried out either:
- 1 day per week during the semester
- 2 weeks before the semester start
- 2 weeks at the end of the semester (after the exams)
This is to be defined with the lab/ student.
The project takes place in one of the ISIC laboratories.
Laboratory assignment
Applications to the laboratories of interest are made via a secured EPFL website. The allocation will then be carried out automatically by the system. Results will be published before the semester starts.
⚠ Important :
– Access to this platform requires that the EPFL registration (FRAC) be fully completed
– only students carrying their project during the summer break are allowed to contact the labs directly (outside of this platform)
– FOBS completion is a mandatory prerequisite for the ECTS validation of this project
Chemical engineering and exchange students
This project is available for students in the Master of Science in Chemical engineering & Biotechnology too. It must be placed in the group 2. Same rules apply (EPFL ISIC labs, application via the interface, ..).
