Mental health problems are on the rise worldwide: Refugee crises, wars, climate change, burnouts… Deeply rooted in neurobiology, mental health problems need multidisciplinary research approaches to be tackled. The EPFL Synapsy Center for Neuroscience and Mental Health Research integrates all mental health-related research at EPFL, and serves as a central node to connect researchers, students, interested stakeholders and the public at large. Born out of the legacy of the 12 year-long National Competence Center of Research (NCCR) “Synapsy”, the mission of the EPFL Synapsy center is to promote mental health research and raise its awareness at EPFL and beyond.
