EPFL Pavilions

Bridging the gap between the worlds of science and the humanities.

Led and curated by Professor Dr. Sarah Kenderdine, EPFL Pavilions, previously known as ArtLab, was launched in November 2016.

Research, Innovation and Education are encapsulated in this impressive structure, designed by the Japanese architect, Kengo Kuma. Its primary mission is to stimulate dialogue across the fields of art, engineering, and the humanities as well as between academia and society.

Artlab presents temporary and long-term exhibitions as well as a Montreux Jazz Café where members of the public can discover and experience one-of-a-kind audio-visual archives of the Montreux Jazz Festival.
