FOUR PILLARS

The four pillars of HRC aim to reinforce synergies around a major topic: urbanization in transition.

Pillar 1. ACTION-ORIENTED RESEARCH
Design the urban ecological transition: produce original research on sustainable urbanization.

Pillar 2. SEED MONEY INITIATIVES & HRC LIVING LAB GRANTS
Offer opportunities for ENAC / EPFL labs to join forces on these themes, beyond contribution to HRC core projects.

Pillar 3. A PLACE FOR DEBATE
Disseminate knowledge by organizing seminars and public debates at both the local and international level, as well as at the EPFL / UNIL level.

Pillar 4. TEACHING ON URBAN AND TERRITORIAL DESIGN                  Connect to research and teaching at the frontier of contemporary and future challenges with the ambition to form the interdisciplinary “Urban and Territorial designer of the future”.
