A liquid nitrogen filling point is available to users in room AI 0223 and is accessible during working hours (Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm).
Each unit has the possibility of collecting liquid nitrogen manually or automatically in large tanks, individual nitrogen tanks or small portable containers.
Users are requested to wear proper personal protective equipment when handling liquid nitrogen. A procedure for the use of liquid nitrogen can be found here.
IMPORTANT: The room AI 0223 is closed at night from 7pm to 7am and on weekends. For security reasons, any withdrawal of liquid nitrogen is forbidden outside opening hours by EPFL regulations.
