Pipette Calibration – Socorex Service
Preferential conditions have been negotiated with Socorex for the calibration of pipettes, regardless of the brand.
All calibration requests must be submitted via the Sciquest/Jaggaer module (Consumables and laboratory equipment category) in Catalyse. Please follow the procedure below:
- In the “Source Search” field, enter “socorex”, then click Search.
- Once the search is complete, select the “Hosted” tile in the top left corner.
- When the filters appear, open the Supplier menu and select “Socorex” under Suppliers (not Brands).
- Three calibration options will be displayed on the right. Select the service corresponding to your needs:
-
- Basic Service SOCOREX Calibration
- Premium Service Pipette SOCOREX Multi 8-channels Calibration
- Premium Service Pipette SOCOREX Multi 12-channels Calibration
Important: Users must indicate the serial numbers of the pipettes in the “Comment to the supplier” field in Ivalua.
The requisition can then be validated following the standard ordering procedure.
Socorex Form
The Socorex form, available via the link below, must be attached to the calibration order:
>> Socorex Form – Pipette Calibration Service <<
The form does not need to be completed in full, but it must include:
- the Catalyse PO number
- Confirmation that the pipettes have been decontaminated
-> An example of how to complete the form is provided at the bottom of the page below. Click on the image to enlarge it.
Sending the Pipettes
Once the order has been entered in Catalyse, the pipettes can be brought to the SV Store, together with the Socorex form, for shipment to the supplier.
Each shipment is recorded to ensure traceability of the services and tracking of the calibration status.
Important safety instructions
Users must clean and disinfect their pipettes before bringing them to the Store.
Pipettes used in P2 and P3 laboratories must be decontaminated beforehand.
In case of doubt, please contact the supplier to determine the appropriate decontamination methods for the materials composing your pipettes.
