The Response and Safety Service (SIS) must ensure that the 15,000 people present on campus and in the outposts can work, study and organize events in complete safety.
Our specialists work on the ground to conduct inspections, as well as on construction project analyses or the organization of events. For assistance to a person or during a fire / gas alarm, the campus can count on an emergency response unit that is available 24/7, as well as the School’s rescuers and firefighters.
In case of theft, damage to property or material damage on the EPFL site 24/7, dial 115 or +41 21 693 3000.
All overflight of the EPFL campus with aircraft lighter than 30 kg requires approval, to be requested from the DSPS using the authorization application form, at least five working days before the flight.
The DSPS team helps you to organize your events in the best way in accordance with the legislation and take the necessary safety measures.
Within the DSPS-SIS, the Special Projects team, comprising specialists in industrial hazards, AEAI fire protection and safety, and health in the workplace, ensures the continuing improvement of infrastructure safety.
To fulfil legal requirements, EPFL relies on a competent partner, renowned for their skills in assisting companies in the area of risks in business and academic travel abroad: International SOS.
