Welcome Day

The aim of this compusory EPFL Welcome Day is for all students to receive useful information concerning their new curriculum, while meeting with peers, teaching staff and having a chance to visit the campus.

17 September 2021 – On campus – COVID certificate requested

For this major event it is necessary to show a valid COVID certificate that confirms you have either:

– been fully vaccinated with a vaccine that is recognised in Switzerland
– recovered from a covid infection (confirmed by a test dating back less than 180 days)
– received proof of a negative antigen test ( 48 hours validity) / PCR test (72 hours validity)

Wearing a surgical mask (product approved by the Federal Office of Public Health / FOPH) during the event is compulsory. Cloth face masks are not accepted. Please use the hydro-alcoholic gel available at the entrance of the rooms and buildings.

In case you are suffering from symptoms that might be linked to COVID, you should not come on campus.

Test Centers: COVID-19 testing center EPFL and other centers

No testing opportunity will be provided the day of the event. All test must be done before September 17.

Cost: the price of a COVID test may vary at the different centers.

Please note that the COVID-19 testing center at EPFL provides free tests for students who do not have a Swiss health insurance. To allow these students to benefit from this service, EPFL invites all students who have Swiss health insurance to get tested in other centers, so students from abroad will be able to benefit from this service.

Test reimbursment: the cost of Antigen test is reimbursed by the Swiss Confederation for students with a Swiss health insurance. If you have a foreign insurance, please contact them directly for coverage issues.
