The interdisciplinary Astrobots research group associates the Laboratory of Astrophysics (ref. Prof Jean Paul Kneib), the group REHAssist (ref. Dr Mohamed Bouri) and the group React (Dr Denis Gillet).
The main concern of this inter-lab activity is system design for optical fiber positioner robots, devices that are key for future astrophysics instrumentation. Our group includes a large spectrum of disciplines, spanning from astrophysics to mechatronics, from navigation techniques to command electronics. Our research is based on strong interdisciplinary competences in astrophysics and robotics.
