NEW! Postdoc position in balance control of an exoskeleton

A position for a talented postdoctoral-level researcher is available in the REHAssist Group. The laboratory BIOROB and the research group REHAssist have established expertise in human locomotion and lower limb exoskeletons. Our research group REHAssist mainly works on lower limb exoskeletons for gait assistance and robotic rehabilitation solutions. Autonomyo is developed for people who have walking impairments due to muscular weakness or motor deficits. Autonomyo has been designed at EPFL.

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to work on partial assistance of gait and balance using an assistive exoskeleton, motorized in flexion/extension (hip and knee) and abduction/adduction (hip).

The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in related fields with demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality research and a track record of publications in top venues.

Desirable skills:

*   Proficiency with programming languages, most notably C/C++, with Python and MATLAB as a plus;
*   Experience in control of lower limb exoskeletons, control of balance, or control of humanoid robots.
*   Experience with patients in clinical studies and gait analysis is a plus.
*   Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for collaboration.
*   Proficiency in the English language (written and oral).

How to apply for this position:

Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae including the contact information of two professional references in a single PDF file to [email protected]. In the application that would be great to have a short video of yourself (max 3 mins) presenting yourself and presenting key project(s) during your studies. (Please share a link for the video, e.g. wetransfer)

The email subject should include [autonomyo postdoc]. Please note that we regularly scan the list of applicants. As soon as we find an excellent candidate that can start we will stop recruitment.
