The Member section of the International SOS website contains a wide range of travel information about specific countries. We suggest you browse through this section before you travel.

Website services available to International SOS members

In this section, you can search by country or city to access a range of information about your destination. Here, you will find details such as the quality of the tap water, local currency, cultural traditions, as well as crucial information for your preparation like visa requirements, and summaries on health and safety. These details represent just a portion of the resources available to ensure you are well-prepared and informed for your journey.

You can sign up for International SOS email alerts to get important travel-related updates from around the world. 

Click on “Sign Up for Email Alerts” and enter your name and EPFL email address under “How do I register”. 

Once you receive the confirmation email and click on the link, you can log into the alert system under “Login for existing users”.

 

 

There you can sign up for the news feeds you’re interested in. 

“Real time country updates” gives you important health and safety-related information for the countries you select (we suggest you use this for all countries you plan to travel to), and “Scheduled summaries” gives you regular news summaries for regions you select. 

Once you have selected your countries, don’t forget to save your changes to start receiving the alerts.

 

 

 

In this interface, TravelAdvisor assists you with personalized briefings, covering all the necessary information for traveling from one country to another. Receive a confirmation number for tailored support, access advice in multiple languages, and enjoy seamless integration. This tool is designed to provide you with comprehensive support in preparing your travels.

To obtain this information, click on ‘TravelAdvisor’ and then start a new brief.

Once the briefing is started, you simply need to fill in the fields regarding the departure and destination countries, as well as the dates of your departure and return. Then, continue by clicking on the appropriate button.

Then, three options are available to you: whether it’s a business trip, an academic stay abroad, or an international mission. Select the category that corresponds to your situation to proceed.

Three automated sections will appear: complete each of them and validate the steps to finalize your travel dossier for the desired country. Finally, click on ‘Finish and send’.”

Once the process is completed, a window will appear to allow you to download your dossier. You can also find this document at any time in your TravelAdvisor space.
