Automation and algorithms are the two faces of digital chemistry. In this talk, we will explore the potential application of different families of algorithms along with the automated workflow of a data-driven synthetic and analytical laboratory, as currently established at the Swiss CAT+ West Hub at EPFL.
Dr. Pascal Miéville, Executive Director Swiss Cat+ West Hub, holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry at EPFL, Master in Public Administration (MPA) from IDHEAP at UNIL with speciality in public finances, and, PhD EPFL in hyperpolarized NMR with Prof G. Bodenhausen.
15 years of experience in pharmaceutical, MRI contrast development in pharma industry, Bracco Research and former leader of the NMR instrumental platform at EPFL.
Dr. Miéville is leading the conception and development of the Swiss CAT West Hub project. The aim of the Swiss CAT project is to develop a entirely automated and data-driven infrastructure for homogeneous catalysis discovery and optimization. Teaching digital and automation chemistry to Master students.
