The Computer Science DLL comprises a number a computer labs that give students access to IT resources. Rather than concentrating all of these resources in a single location, the idea is to take advantage of the ongoing restructuration to propose a coherent strategy to provide access to and manage IT resources across campus.
The VPSI is carrying out a virtualization pilot project in partnership with the CDM, ENAC, and IC faculties. It’s goal is to evaluate the potential of using virtualization for teaching applications. The objective is to develop a platform that would make it possible to hold practical sessions (exercises, lab sessions) in any classroom that has an internet connection by having students use their private laptops to connect to remote servers, on which the computations are performed.
