Although problems linked to breaches of research integrity are few and far between, EPFL has nevertheless decided to take preventive measures. Since 2021, all new professors at EPFL have been taking an online course entitled Conducting Research the Right Way. Given by the EPFL Research Office, this course covers the basics of research integrity and good scientific practice.

The regular evaluations of EPFL centers conducted between 2017 and 2020 demonstrated a need for harmonization within our School. The Associate Vice-Presidency for Centers and Platforms (AVP-CP) has developed a guide setting out the basic principles, as well as instructions for running periodic evaluations of centers. The first evaluations have already taken place, and several more are ongoing or will be conducted in due course.
