PROJECT

Active bent structure are obtained by imposing large deformations into initially produced flat panels. This initial stresses which disappear over time partially by relaxation. In this case, two panels are interwoven and held in a deformed position. The resulting form, a textile module, is characterised by increased stiffness since the longitudinal vault and the interaction between both panels creates a static height.
In case additional outside loads would be applied to this structure, it would resist even more.
