This year’s Design of Structures class deals with the conception of a medium size sports hall with strictly defined minimal dimensions. The exercise focuses on the design of an innovative spatial structure appropriate for the assigned use. By exploring different alternatives through architectural drawings and model-making the students will have to confront the challenges of the specific structural system as well as the development of required details.
