The course aims to introduce students to the basics of industrial design by confronting them with the creation of an object. This is a practical course based on the development of a semester project.
Content
Product design, everyday objects.
The project will consist in designing an original and unique product. It can be a daily type object, a work tool or a practical utensil. The specific theme will be given during the introductory course.
Starting with a research phase in the form of a series of reference images and sketches, the first part of the semester will be devoted to finding a personal and original concept.
The second part of the semester will be devoted to the development of the chosen idea in the form of various models and tests.
The final phase of the project will be dedicated to the development of the constructive details and the realization of a life-size model.
