Working closely with the DSPS (Department of Health, Prevention and Security at EPPL) and other protoyping spaces at EPPL (DLL and Atelier Maquette), these procedures will be updated in the coming months.
Currently, an access control system using the CAMIPRO EPFL card is being tested on the SKIL laser cutting machine. This system could be duplicated on other machines by September 2020 and in other EFL locations.

At present, the practical training courses of the SKIL are divided into three categories:
Training on the laser-cutter (CAMIPRO access)
Formal practical training is provided. After this training, the student receives his accreditation in order to access the machine with his CAMIPRO.
Introduction on the CNC Milling Machine (CAD + machine)
Introduction given by request by the labmanager manager Marc Wettstein (Thursday or Friday).
Introduction to other Category B or C machines (see Equipment page)
Introduction given by a lab manager during contact hours (Monday to Friday from 8 a. m. to 5 p. m. ). Don’t hesitate to come with a practical project to be carried out to be trained on the machine.
