Welcome to the interdisciplinary ASTROBOTS group. Our main activity is system design for optical fiber positioner robots, devices that are key for future astrophysics instrumentation. Our group includes a large spectrum of disciplines, spanning from astrophysics to mechatronics, from navigation techniques to command electronics. Our research is based on strong interdisciplinary competences in astrophysics and robotics.

A TED Talk about the most detailed map of galaxies, black holes, and stars ever made of the spectroscopic surveys whose fiber positioner robots are designed at EPFL.
