Postdoc Positions at EPFL-LMTS
1 Postdoc positions in soft actuators for wearable robotics or mobile robots
- The EPFL Soft Transducers Laboratory (lmts.epfl.ch) invites applications for one postdoctoral researcher. You will create compliant actuators based on energy efficient principles such as electrostatic zipping, clutching, and electrohydrodynamics. By developing a deep understanding of the physics of these devices, you will design and choose materials, architectures, and scalable fabrication methods that enable unrivaled performance for soft exoskeletons or soft mobile robots. Candidates must hold a PhD in Physics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field and have a strong prublication track record. Start date is January 2023, or as agreed. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to supervise PhD students and participate in teaching and fundraising activities. Work location is Neuchatel, Switzerland. The project includes partners in Denmark, the USA, and Japan. The project is funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
