International Workshop on Geomechanics & Energy 2013

The International Workshop on Geomechanics and Energy has been hosted by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) from November 26th to 28th 2013.
 
The Workshop has been preceded on Monday November 25th by a short course held by Prof. Lyesse Laloui and Dr. Alessio Ferrari on the most recent achievements in the Geomechanical Characterization and Modelling.
 
More than 100 people from various International Universities, Companies and Industries participated actively to the Workshop. Through 6 scientific sessions focused on Deep Geological Disposal of Radioactive Waste, Shallow Geothermal Energy, Conventional Hydrocarbon Exploration, Deep Geothermal Energy, CO2 Storage and Non-conventional Energy, and a posters session, various debates on the most recent and innovative applications of Geomechanics and Energy Engineering have been performed.
