The LMS participated to the 6th International Conference on Porous Media & Annual Meeting (INTERPORE 2014) in Milwaukee, 27-30 May 2014. Prof. Lyesse Laloui gave a plenary-session presentation entitled “CO2 injection into a deep aquifer system: a geomechanical perspective”. Dr. Alessio Ferrari presented the work “Pore structure evolution of compacted granular bentonite during wetting and drying cycles” at the session on swelling materials. Dr. Roman Makhnenko gave a presentation on “Poroelastic behavior of calcarenite for the purposes of geologic CO2 storage”.
