The Géotechnique Symposium in Print 2013 was held on 3 June 2013 at the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) in in London. The Symposium was organized by Prof. Lyesse Laloui and had the title “Bio- and Chemo- Mechanical Processes in Geotechnical Engineering”. The two issues of Géotechnique printed in March 2013 contains the 14 selected papers for the Symposium.

The paper “An experimental and constitutive investigation on the chemo-mechanical behaviour of a clay” written by Paul Witteveen (former master student at the LMS), Alessio Ferrari and Lyesse Laloui was selected for an oral presentation that has been given by Dr. Alessio Ferrari.

Three PhD students from LMS (Abudushalamu Aili, Valentina Favero and Alice Di Donna) also participated to the event and to the poster session.
