Shops
Among other things, there is a Migros (food), a Denner (food and alcohol), a post office, Crédit Suisse (bank), CFF (train tickets), a travel agency and a book store.
Find a list of all the shops on campus and directions here: http://information.epfl.ch/shops

Library
You can borrow books for free at the library of EPFL, located in the Rolex Learning Center (note that you will need your EPFL CAMIPRO card (see above)). You can also order books from libraries within Switzerland.
You will find all the info here: http://library.epfl.ch/en/

Sports centre
EPFL and University of Lausanne share a big sports centre, located by the lake nearby EPFL. Registration costs 120Fr for a semester and 200Fr for the whole academic year.
A map to reach “Villa des sports (VILLA)” to register can be found here (+ opening hours):

Family sport activity
The « Association Vaudoise de Viet Vo Dao » is a non-profit association aimed to practice Vietnamese martial art. The AVV was created by EPFL members and offers martial courses for adults as well as an adapted, game-based, family activity where parents and kids (3-6 years) practice together. Classes take place at the Coquerellaz (chemin de la Plantaz 1, 1024 Ecublens) within 5 min walking distance from the EPFL. If you are interested, please contact them directly via www.vietvodao.ch

Problems?
If you need support, advice or just someone to listen: http://helpme.epfl.ch/

Occupational health
The framework “help” is offering health related services to all students and employees from EPFL, such as health screening, blood donation or seasonal flu vaccination, during certain weeks of the year. There is as well the possibility to take advantage of massages on the campus, during working hours. Check out more on both topics:
https://www.epfl.ch/campus/security-safety/en/health/health-prevention/

Also, you can ask for consultations if you think your work place is not adequate (e.g. too noisy), or to get advice (e.g. on vaccinations):
