A PhD position is available in Prof. Zhengmao Lu’s Energy Transport Advances Laboratory (ETA-LAB) in the Institute of Mechanical Engineering at EPFL, Switzerland. At the ETA-LAB (etalab.epfl.ch), we strive to obtain a deeper understanding of liquid-gas interfacial heat and mass transfer and create high-performance, low-carbon-emission energy and water technologies.

What we are looking for:
- Solid background in heat transfer and fluid mechanics
- Great communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- Prior experience in materials synthesis and optics will be viewed favorably (not required though)
