DÆNCITY Student artistic residency

DÆNCITY is a Performance Lighthouse artistic project that was conceived and coordinated in collaboration with Sévelin 36, in Lausanne, and took place between April and June 2025.
It was structured around the following axes :
- Artistic residency between the 22nd and the 25th of April, at Sévelin 36, for 32 EPFL and UNIL students, to explore dance improvisation with choreographers and dancers Noémie Cuérel and Matthieu Ruf, (5-hour workshop every day), and take part in a reflexive workshop (90-minute workshop every day) led by EPFL researcher Sascha Nick and performance artist, dancer and Performance Lighthouse coordinator Simona Ferrar
- 3 public performances and an exhibition : on the 25th of April, at Sévelin 36 ; on the 12th of May, at the Festival Les Culturelles, at EPFL ; on the 13th of June at the Festival Magma, at Sévelin 36
- Experimental research in Learning Sciences led by PhD student Tanja Ulrich
- Documentation of the artistic residency by three EPFL students : Ben Begon (video), Léo Perrin-Livenais (drawing) and Mehdi Bouguerra Ezzina (photography), exhibited alongside each public performance.
