Site: Effect of Interference and Interference Mitigation in Impulse-Radio UWB Networks
IEEE 802.15.4a is the new standard for low data rate ultra wideband networks. We are interested in receivers for such networks that are of low complexity but nevertheless are robust to interference from concurrently transmitting devices. Performance evaluations of these systems are however often not easily tractable analytically and one has to resort to simulations. Hence, to test new designs and to assess their performance we have developed a fairly sophisticated physical layer simulator. The project would consist in you implementing and testing some possible receiver designs in the simulator and in carrying out a performance evaluation.
