Java implementation of a packet forwarding architecture

Contact: Ljubica Blazevic

The scope of this project is a novel packet forwarding mechanism for large mobile ad-hoc networks. Those are wireless mobile networks, which are autonomous, self-organized, and independent of any fixed infrastructure. In such a network all networking functions are embedded in the terminals themselves. Such terminals are called terminodes. The main building blocks for enabling packet forwarding in the terminodes network have been identified. The goal of this project is to implement building blocks as object-oriented classes, with their interfaces and relationships with other classes. The programming language is Java, the knowledge of which is required for this project.

Benefits: getting knowledge on ad-hoc mobile networks, object-oriented design

Domain: Protocol design and implementation
