Wissam Pheng (EPFL) wins YUVA – Indians Online Chess Contest (October 2020)
YUVA-Indians organized an online chess contest on October 17th and 18th 2020. Wissam Pheng of the Mathematics department at EPFL bagged the first position. Alec Schmutz and Rishabh Iyer were the first and second runner-ups respectively.
Sauradeep wins the FameLab Swiss Finals 2020
Sauradeep is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at EPFL and a member of the YUVA – Indians association. He won the FameLab Swiss Finals and will now represent Switzerland at the FameLab International Finals. Mukesh is the current president and treasurer of the YUVA – Indians association. He is a Ph.D. student at EPFL. He was awarded in an online quiz organized by the Indian Embassy in Switzerland on the occasion of the 74th Independence Day of India on 15th August 2020.
