The second and third year include general training and project-based learning in environmental science (environmental chemistry, microbiology, soil science, atmospheric physico-chemistry, etc.), and classes devoted to engineering techniques (hydrology for engineers, sanitary engineering, water and waste management, quantitative methods, etc.). There is a strong focus on acquiring programming skills, applying sensor technologies, and conducting quantitative analysis of environmental data.
