Events at the SG Foyer, SG Hall and Archizoom space
When planning your events, we recommend checking the availability of spaces in advance. The Archizoom, Foyer SG and Hall SG spaces are available for events. Reservations must be made at [email protected] (title, date and time). The key for the remote control, screen and equipment can be collected from Archizoom for a deposit of CHF 20. Adapters, extension cords, remote controls and microphones are also available on loan under the same conditions. Please close the box with the equipment and tidy up the space after your event. Chairs and tables are available at SG 191.9, via the caretaker Alan Defrance.

The Architecture memento allows you to announce your event (subscribe ↗︎). The email lists etudiants.ar and corps-etudiants.enac are reserved for official communications. To enter your event, log in at the top right of the page, then go to the My Events menu and create a new event announcement. For the image, use the format 1440×810px and for the title: “lecture series”: “title”, “lecture” / “organise”. Tag Public Architecture (favourite mementos) and EPFL + ENAC.

Screens are generally reserved for EPFL Architecture events, Archizoom and Lecture Series, in order to ensure the visibility of information. For other events, please use the memento. Requests for screen broadcasts (for eligible events) should be sent to: [email protected].

Event reports (publications, photos, lecture recordings, etc.) can be posted on Living Archives by uploading the files to the platform or, for videos, by sharing a link if they are already hosted on YouTube, Vimeo, etc.

Living Archives
Designed for EPFL Architecture, the Living Archives platform relies on the active contribution of its members, who are invited to share their activities. Developed with ENAC IT4-Research and Infoscience, it supports the transition to open access (Open Science).
Scientific work: Research teams should first enter their work on Infoscience, then on Living Archives with a link to Infoscience. Educational work: Teaching teams coordinate the online publication, define the guidelines and obtain the students’ consent by having them sign the sharing authorisation (editable). Cultural/associative projects: The person in charge enters the project. If your community is not listed on the form, please contact support.
Entering data: Go to livingarchives.epfl.ch (avoid Safari), click on login (EPFL email) in the menu on the right, then Add project, fill in the form, if you are not the author, add the signed sharing authorisation (editable), choose the licence (CC BY recommended). Format: jpg (photos) and png (vectors/typography). For each image, enter a title and select the type (plan, section, etc.). RGB colour, max 1-3 MB, max 2000-4000px. Gallery dimension 3:2. Public collections: Reserved for collaborators. For other profiles (students), contact support. Support: [email protected]. Copyright: [email protected]
Help: Teacher’s guide, student’s guide, pre-filled form, sharing authorisation (editable), login, data entry, collections
Laboratories are required to publish their current and completed research projects.
June: mid-year, updates on current projects
December: end of year, completed projects and new work
PhD students publish their ongoing doctoral projects and doctoral theses:
At the beginning: the doctoral project
During: project updates
At the end: the published thesis
Teaching teams coordinate the online publication of educational work (theory, projects, etc.) at the end of each semester:
January: autumn projects
July: spring projects
All works are automatically protected by the Swiss Copyright Act, which governs, in particular, the right to quote, the right to private copying, and the educational exception. For more information, visit the EPFL Library website or contact [email protected].
Creative Commons licences (CC) allow works to be shared by defining the conditions for reuse (CC 0, CC BY, etc.). To publish on Living Archives, a CC licence must be applied only to content for which the author is responsible. External elements must be cited, and a note must be added to indicate content not covered by the licence.
CC BY licence (recommended)
Rights granted: Reuse and modification permitted.
Obligation: Credit the author by mentioning their name.

Publications
For each new publication, the entities concerned should contact [email protected] and submit a copy at BP 2231 or BP 2230. A student assistant will take care of photographic reproduction, uploading to the Living Archives and relaying the information on our networks.
News channel
Each laboratory or group publishes articles on its channel (publications, awards, appointments) and integrates the content into its web pages. It is recommended to publish 2 to 4 articles per year (help page). EPFL Architecture can then relay this content on the Architecture channel and Instagram to increase its visibility.
