Platforms
EPFL’s digital platforms support open science by facilitating access to knowledge and resources. They enable the sharing and dissemination of research work, scientific publications and projects, thereby promoting a culture of open access to information for all.

Infoscience is EPFL’s institutional platform for collecting, preserving, and disseminating the scientific publications and research work of its researchers, lecturers, and students. Launched in 2004, it aims to promote open access to knowledge in line with EPFL’s open science policy. In July 2024, a new version was rolled out, offering an improved interface and new features to facilitate the submission and consultation of publications.

The BEAST catalogue is the document search engine for the EPFL Library, located in the Rolex Learning Centre. It allows users to access physical and electronic collections, including books, journals, theses and EPFL publications. The BEAST interface is designed to facilitate the search for information within the available resources.

Living Archives is a digital platform developed by EPFL Architecture dedicated to publishing and sharing scientific, educational and cultural work carried out in architecture at EPFL. It enables laboratories, groups and members of the community to share their projects online, thereby contributing to EPFL’s open science strategy. Managed in partnership with ENAC IT4-Research and Infoscience, Living Archives aims to promote open access to knowledge in architecture.

The Architecture Hub is a digital platform run by EPFL Architecture that provides access to news, teaching and research programmes, as well as information on governance and members of the architecture community within the ENAC faculty. It aims to centralise resources and facilitate navigation for students, researchers and professionals interested in architecture at EPFL.

Morphé is an online portal from EPFL Architecture that allows users to explore the holdings and collections of the Archives of Modern Construction. It offers detailed descriptions of thousands of documents relating to architects, engineers, photographers, urban planners and companies in the construction sector. Users can consult these resources for their research or projects.

Morphé+ is the remote consultation platform for the EPFL Architecture Archives of Modern Construction. It provides access to digitised files, including project plans and coherent sets of documents such as correspondence, notebooks and photographic reports. This resource facilitates access to documents for researchers and architecture enthusiasts.
Facilities
EPFL offers a range of facilities to support the projects of its students and staff, including fabrication workshops, a resource centre, printing and digital work spaces, and a photography studio. These resources facilitate practical work, research and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The model workshop, located at BP 0 232, is dedicated to the production of models and 3D presentations for ENAC students and researchers. It offers a space equipped with manual and digital tools, a materials store, and supervision by model makers. Open to collaborations with other sections of EPFL, it supports practical work, exhibition models and the production of parts. Access to the machines is reserved for trained individuals. The space remains accessible at all times with a Camipro card.

The SKIL (Student Kreativity and Innovation Lab), located at SKIL 001, is an innovative workshop space inaugurated in 2018 by ENAC and open to all EPFL students. It encourages student-led projects by offering a wide range of tools and technical skills. SKIL supports individual, small team and interdisciplinary projects and offers on-site supervision.

The resources centre, located in hall SG 094.10, provides storage and reuse facilities for materials used in models and mock-ups within EPFL Architecture. This initiative was proposed by students and is organised in collaboration with SAR. It aims to combat the waste of materials, which are discarded in large quantities at the end of each semester.

The Graphics Peripherals Room (GR), located in SG 0215, is a freely accessible resource for ENAC staff and students in the SAR, SGC and SSIE departments. It can be used to print and scan large-format documents on various types of paper.

The SG computer room at SG 0217 provides access to a large number of computers. The infrastructure is accessible to the ENAC community at all times during term time. 24/7 (camipro: Mon-Fri: 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 a.m. & weekends)

The photo studio, located at BP 3122, is available to the ENAC community for photo or video shoots. Equipped with flashes, LED panels, coloured backgrounds and a green screen for chroma keying, it also includes a computer with editing software. Users must bring their own photo/video equipment, but ENAC-IT3 can lend equipment on site if necessary.
Services
In addition, EPFL offers a range of services to meet the academic and professional needs of its community, including access to documentary resources, technical and IT support, print management and audiovisual production. The academic service supports students throughout their studies, while the communications service manages relations with the media.
The Archives of Modern Construction (ACM), located at SG 3312, are a platform of the Institute of Architecture. The ACM team manages and catalogues numerous archival collections from architects, engineers and companies in the construction sector. Documents from the catalogued collections can be consulted. Documents can only be consulted on-site by appointment. The catalogues of the processed collections can be freely consulted on the Morphé platform.

The EPFL library, located in the Rolex Learning Centre, is open every day from 7 a.m. to midnight and is accessible to all. The BEAST online platform provides access to all documentary resources: books, journals, printed and electronic articles, EPFL theses, and collections from other libraries in the Swisscovery network.

The printing centre (Repro), located at BP 0243, offers paid services in digital, offset and large-format printing, binding and graphic design. It is available to the entire EPFL community for professional and association work, as well as personal (non-commercial) projects.

The Academic Services (SAC), located at BP 1229, manages admissions, enrolments, results, files, curricula and resources for all courses. It ensures equal treatment and contributes to improving the education system.
