Rolex Learning Center, EPFL > here
(Discussion takes place mainly in French, but questions in English are welcome)
Everyone has their own connection, their own screen, their own AI that is always flattering, immediately available, and supposedly omniscient: technology is designed for individualized use, reducing constraints, frustrations, and obstacles as much as possible… This is everything that relationships with others are not. Is an increasingly techno-centered world an increasingly egocentric and narcissistic world?
With:
- Bruno Lemaître, immunologist, Professor at EPFL, and author of several books on the subject of narcissism in society and science.
- Claire Balleys, sociologist, professor at UNIGE, director of Medialab (Institute of Communication Sciences and Digital Cultures).
Moderation: Anne Laure Gannac, journalist at the EPFL College of Humanities and RTS.
- Free admission upon registration (sandwiches provided)
