Private consulting

When professors or employees of the EPFL exercise an ancillary activity privately, it is necessary to clarify the issue of potential conflicts of interest with the EPFL and also vis-à-vis third parties. In this context, the responsibility of a professor or employee exercising an ancillary activity is regulated by the directive on conflicts of interest.

Any ancillary activity related to private consulting must also be declared. Below is the declaration that must be signed by the mandator and sent to the TTO:

EPFL directive

The EPFL Directive on the management of the conflict of interest (LEX 4.1.1) defines the rules and responsibility applicable to such cases. Do not hesitate to contact the HR Department or the TTO as soon as possible if you have any question on such matters.
