Reinventing the urban shores?
Organized jointly by the Ecoparc Association and the Laboratory of Architecture and Sustainable Technologies (LAST), the Forum des transitions urbaines will be held on September 3 in the Microcity auditorium of the EPFL campus in Neuchâtel (Switzerland). Entitled “Réinventer les rives urbaines?”, this edition is part of the dynamics of the ten previous editions of the Ecoparc Forum and will be the opportunity to bring together researchers, practitioners and public authorities to examine the evolutions taking place in urban territories.
Synergies supporting urban regeneration
In an article published in the last edition of the "Cahiers d’EspaceSuisse", Prof. Emmanuel Rey, head of the Laboratory of Architecture and Sustainable Technologies (LAST), presents a few thoughts on the need for synergies in urban regeneration projects. Based on the case of the new Oassis neighborhood, built on a former industrial brownfield in West Lausanne, it highlights the importance of new types of partnerships between public, private and associative actors for such initiatives.
Towards more modular housing?
