Award criteria
The financial emergency support is a one-time financial assistance intended for students experiencing exceptional and unforeseen financial hardship that suddenly and temporarily comprimises their ability to continue their studies.
It is provided as a measure of last resort, once all other funding options or payment deferral arrangements have been explored and found insufficient to address the student’s situation.
The support is intended to cover essential and urgent expenses. It is awarded based on supporting documentation and following an assessment of the student’s financial situation, as well as their prospects for regaining financial stability.
A maximum amount of CHF 2’500 may be awarded over the course of CMS–Bachelor’s–Master’s studies.
Application
Students must first schedule an appointment with the Social consultation to discuss their situation. If their circumstances are deemed eligible for this type of support, they will be invited to submit a formal application, including the required application form and supporting documents.
