On March 20th, the Mathematics Institute organized its first Kangaroo Mathematics Competition. This inaugural event attracted 51 participants aged 8 to 16, coming from French-speaking Switzerland and neighboring France.
Many of these young mathematicians were already familiar with our activities: some attend the Euler course, others participate in SPS (Science Promotion Service) activities. We would also like to congratulate the Swiss Clever Center team, which was present in large numbers.
Special mention goes to David Vanicek, a regular participant in the weekly Maths en jeu activity at SPS, who achieved a remarkable feat by answering all questions correctly. This perfect performance earned him a diploma and gold medal presented by Maryna Viazovska, in the presence of Lucie, SPS facilitator, and Anne Balmer, member of the Swiss Kangaroo competition association.

Congratulations to all participants for their commitment and passion for mathematics, and see you next year!
